Olympic canoeists reach out into the favelas surrounding the Olympic stadium with a food drive.

This humanitarian campaign by two of the Rio Olympic canoe slalom athletes is a slight departure from our usual Charity Spotlight, yet seems timely and relevant. We commend them for bringing the Olympic spirit to the favelas.

Fabulously creative street art fundraising initiative in the picturesque city of Prague. Beneficial Brick has been helping people with special needs to live a fulfilled life since 1999.

On our European travels we stumbled across this brilliant example of social responsibility. We have not yet verified whether Beneficial Brick is a registered non-profit or a social responsibility initiative.

Charity Spotlight – SRUK

Raynaud’s affects 1 in 6 people. SRUK currently supports over twenty two thousand people in the UK living with the conditions but the charity acknowledges that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

The March 2016 launch of the new Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK is an important step in joining forces to help up to 10 million people in the UK alone live with Raynaud’s.

Wandering the streets of London we came across the Foundling Museum. As Britain’s first children’s charity it would seem remiss not to highlight it in our posts.

Foundling Hospital was established by Thomas Coram in 1739. The charity called Coram, continues helping children and young people.
