Charity Spotlight feature insights

Opencity Inc., Charity Spotlight feature insights, research, non-profits, Website Grader, inbound methodology

Since we began these Charity Spotlights we have run more than 25, one each week. The featured non-profits shared their reflections.

We thank the charities for their initial assistance and insights in how we develop and evolve them in the future.

“Really thankful to be featured”……..”It was very nice to be recognized”…….I really appreciate BMS being featured”

We have further work to do to help measure the spotlights and learn how we can further co-promote through social media.

Continued advocacy

The initial charity spotlight is somewhat a one-off, which it is appreciated are one drop in the ocean amongst their drive for publicity. We will continue to advocate for those non-profits we have featured by helping amplify content through offsite (social) channels.

Through the recent research using Netigate the charities have expressed a desire for video interviews and an annual follow-up. We will explore mechanism to deliver these.

Another post will include an infographic on the pledges we have made, including purchasing a Raising the Roof toque, sponsoring Claire Fox for Save The Children, purchasing Soup for Syria and more.

Website Grader

We have consistently advocated for the HubSpot Website Grader tool that gives exceptionally valuable feedback on the performance of websites; based on criteria of performance, mobile experience, SEO and security.

Our featured non-profits indicate that they have mostly shared these website grader reports with their teams and plan to act upon them. The importance of having a responsive mobile experience can not be overstated.

“No matter what, the very first piece of social media real estate I’d start with is a blog“, says Chris Brogan, Founder of New Marketing Labs.

Wildlife As Canon Sees It

The inspiration for our Charity Spotlights came from the Wildlife As Canon Sees It feature from National Geographic.

Accordingly, we think giving a spotlight to charities is important and one way Opencity Inc. can be socially responsible. Opencity Inc. thinks giving a spotlight to charities is important and one way we can be socially responsible.
